GCFC at the 9th Angel Rising Investor Education Symposium

DATE 19 December 2025 Turning ClimateTech potential into investable outcomes

The Global Climate Finance Centre (GCFC) participated in the 9th Angel Rising Investor Education Symposium, organised by startAD and VentureSouq in partnership with the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), to help advance investment pathways that can scale ClimateTech across the Global South.

A recurring theme throughout the symposium was the gap between ClimateTech innovation and the capital needed to deploy it at scale. GCFC’s contribution focused on what markets need most to close that gap: clear frameworks, stronger risk structures, and better investor capabilities that unlock early-stage climate capital.

As the UAE strengthens its position as a global hub for climate-smart investment, GCFC continues to drive practical solutions that connect innovation, finance, and policy, helping turn ClimateTech potential into deployable, real-world impact.

Speaking on behalf of GCFC, Khalid Tebe shared how smart policy and catalytic capital can shift climate risk into investable opportunity, and why the UAE is increasingly positioning itself at the centre of this transition.
