GCFC and ALTÉRRA Sign Strategic Partnership to Strengthen the Global Architecture for Climate Finance

GCFC welcomes ALTÉRRA as a Strategic Knowledge Partner

This partnership brings together two leading institutions launched under the UAE’s COP28 Presidency to strengthen the global architecture for climate-related investment.

With $30 billion under management, ALTÉRRA was established to help transform how and where the world invests in climate solutions. Together, GCFC and ALTÉRRA will collaborate on knowledge sharing and global stakeholder engagement, drawing on their expertise and convening power to support practical and innovative approaches for scaling climate finance.

The signing ceremony, hosted at ADGM Academy – GCFC’s strategic partner for talent development in climate finance – marks a significant milestone in advancing the UAE’s vision for a world-class climate investment ecosystem. As a centre of excellence, ADGM Academy’s School of Sustainable Finance plays a pivotal role in shaping future leaders and equipping them with the expertise to drive meaningful, long-term impact in the global transition to a sustainable economy.

The agreement reinforces GCFC’s mission: to make climate finance a credible driver of growth, stability, and innovation in a fast-changing global economy.

The partnership was formalized by Mercedes Vela Monserrate, CEO of GCFC, and His Excellency Majid Al Suwaidi, CEO of ALTÉRRA.
