Strengthening Accountability & Transparency in Climate Finance Flows

DATE 26 April 2025 This strategic partnership establishes the Compass as the official tracker of the Global Climate Finance Framework, launched at COP28.

We are proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Global Climate Finance Centre (GCFC) and Climate Policy Initiative to reinforce collaboration on the Climate Finance Reform Compass. GCFC was represented at the signing by its board member, the
Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF).

This strategic partnership establishes the Compass as the official tracker of the Global Climate Finance Framework, launched at COP28. As a critical tool for driving transparency, accountability, and momentum, the Compass will support the implementation of the Baku to Belém Roadmap and help track private sector contributions to climate finance flows.

As we conclude our engagement during the 2025 World Bank/IMF Spring Meetings, this MoU marks another step forward in building a data-driven, action-oriented climate finance system, anchored in collaboration and private sector leadership.
